My latest post

Hi, I'm Belle

I eat words for breakfast.

I am a freelance journalist and mental health advocate, and the leading editor of Western Europe at The European Correspondent. I spend most of my time in Brussels, Malta and the Netherlands.

Some of my by-lines are in The Brussels TimesDe Morgen, Times of Malta, Malta IndependentNew Europe, THINK Magazine, and Lovin Malta. I write about mental health, social (in)justice and international affairs. Some of my most important work is about Mount Carmel Hospital and abortion rights.

Having recently graduated a master's in Journalism & Media in Europe, I am now balancing my role at The European Correspondent with freelance work.

Whenever I'm not typing away in the European capital, you can find me scuba diving in the Mediterranean or exploring new places with my rescue dog Sir Godwin.
